Gauchos Review

Gauchos Piccadilly Entrance My friends always hype about this ‘amazing’ restaurant called Gauchos, which sounded great but, in my opinion, didn’t live up to its reputation after we dined there. As I am not a Londoner myself, I still have many restaurants to visit in the capital and Gauchos was at the top of my bucket list, which is why I suggested we should dine at the Argentinian restaurant for a friend’s birthday. The story behind its name ‘Gauchos’ is iconic to Argentinians as it symbolises “bravery, honour, and independence.” Their story explains that “the gaucho is an embodiment of national pride. In fact, a  gauchada  means a good deed or an act of heroism, courage or heartfelt generosity.” Gauchos is a steakhouse with 12 restaurants around London and two in the North of England; the chain can also be found in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Buenos Aires and they serve a variety of dishes from seafood to poultry and vegetarian options. Aqua Nueva London

****   Is clubbing not your thing? Well Aqua is the place for you.   I had more fun at Aqua than I would have had in a club. I think if you’re not a clubbing type this is the place for you. It was just nice, music playing, everyone socialising with drinks in their hands. A stress free night. Bearing in mind the music was non lyrical if you know what I mean. It was just sounds which made it very relaxing. This bar was beautifully designed with red curtains and gold stands, it will have you feeling like you're attending an Oscars. Anyway, the drinks were pricey, like any place in Central London.  It started from £9 and onwards, but the drinks were very nice. The bartender would make it in front of you whilst trying to entertain. It really is an ideal place to go to for a stress free night, but be prepared to spend. http://www.aqua-london.com/

STK, The Strand London

*** STK is by far my favourite restaurant because it serves one of the best home-made mac and cheese. Their steak is perfectly cooked, not too dry and it actually has flavour to it, unlike some of the steaks I've tasted in Steak Houses. Yes, their portions are small but I assure you, they do fill you up. It’s crazy. They also have this amazing BBQ sauce that goes very well with the steak. Plus, you receive free appetisers, which is basically a freshly baked French bread served with a green sauce.  The bread wasn't like any other bread, this was good bread that could be eaten alone. You need to try it yourself to understand how good it was. Let’s talk about the ambience, this place had me feeling like I was at some upmarket restaurants in New York, smoking a cigar and talking in a posh English accent. What I'm trying to say is, it is a very classy restaurant, where you need to dress to impress. The staffs are super nice, welcoming and professional. STK is so...
